BMC molding compound is the abbreviation of "bulk molding compound" in English. 1. The surface of mould cavity should be plated with hard chromium.
2. When feeding, the BMC is rubbed into a ball shape and added to the center of the cavity. The area is 50-80% of the projected area of the product.
3. The molding pressure should not be too high. Too high pressure will bring the defects such as mucous membrane, inconvenient ejection, glass fiber surface and no luster.
4. After use, the material should be tightly tied and sealed.
5. The materials should be stored in the shade below 25 ℃ for three months.
Preparation of BMC molding compound
BMC products are composed of liquid up resin, solid powder filler, chopped glass fiber and other components. In order to facilitate the feeding operation during molding, the premix is usually extruded into strips or pellets.
The preparation of BMC products is divided into two steps: firstly, the resin, initiator, colorant, release agent and some fillers are added into the high shear mixer to mix evenly, and the mixing temperature reaches about 50 ℃. Then, the remaining fillers are slowly added to mix and mix evenly to prepare the resin premixed slurry; ② Add the premixed slurry into the z-reamer mixer or planetary mixer, add the dried chopped glass fiber, mix for 10-15 minutes, pour out the dough, extrude into strip and pellet shape by extruder, seal and pack with polyester film after drying, and store for standby.
